As a Carrier Sales Representative at Nolan Transportation Group your primary responsibility will be to cultivate business relationships with carriers. This role involves promoting and selling NTGs services while adhering to established policies and procedures and contributing to the achievement of company goals and objectives.
Your day-to-day:
Utilize independent judgment and discretion to engage with carriers and expand your client base.
Daily outreach to carriers and follow-up on potential business opportunities.
Negotiate competitive rates with carriers.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with core carriers.
Coordinate with operations to monitor track and trace shipments.
Provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues promptly.
Achieve monthly margin and sales targets.
Maintain office organization and efficiency.
Communicate effectively with customers carriers and brokers.
Stay informed about company activities industry trends and relevant regulations.
Complete required training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Utilize company technology to better organize your operations and sell more loads to carriers.
What we look for:
Bachelors degree in Business or related field
Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with various levels of leadership.
Thrives in a fast-paced high-energy environment.
Proficient in reading analyzing and interpreting common industry documents and reports.
Effective communication and mediation skills with all levels of management within the company.
Strong mathematical skills including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions percentages and basic arithmetic.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related computer programs
Ability to perform 100 phone calls while performing necessary daily duties.
