Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Transportation is seeking to hire a Public Service Administrator. The successful candidate will independently performs a broad range of accounting, auditing, and consulting activities for the Illinois Department of Transportation: reviews the financial records, reports, and statements to ascertain completeness; develops new procedures resulting from changes in the state and/or federal rules, regulations, or laws; monitors internal controls to ensure accuracy prior to preparing Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) packages and financial statements; serves as liaison to external auditors, internal auditors, or the legislative Audit Commission r egarding the information provided in the GAAP packages.
