They also assist people with disabilities to remain engaged in their communities. Most aides provide light housekeeping and homemaking tasks such as laundry, changing bed linens, shopping for food, plan and preparing meals. Aides also may help clients get out of bed, bathe, dress, and groom. Some aides accompany clients to doctor's appointments or on other errands.
