Salary: $97,398 - 130,989 per year Requirements:

• We need extensive experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise network and telecommunications systems, including network infrastructure, wireless networks, and voice and data communication platforms in transportation or other critical infrastructure settings.
• We require experience supporting Transportation Systems Management and Intelligent Transportation Systems, including traffic signals, ramp meters, CCTV and video platforms, dynamic message signs, highway advisory radio, and related communications technologies.
• We expect proven ability to administer, troubleshoot, document, and support network and telecommunications environments, exercise sound judgment, prioritize multiple demands, and independently resolve complex technical problems.
• We need strong knowledge of network architecture, wireless technologies, communications systems, and security best practices for designing, operating, monitoring, and protecting critical infrastructure.
• We require experience providing technical consultation and performing installation, configuration, and support for network hardware, telecommunications equipment, and associated software systems.
• We expect experience planning, coordinating, and delivering large-scale network or telecommunications upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements with minimal disruption.

• We require a valid drivers license and the ability to operate state-owned vehicles.
• We require the ability to travel to field locations, both near and far, in daytime and nighttime conditions and in changing weather.
• We require the ability to move and carry equipment or materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
• We require the ability to participate in an on-call rotation and respond 24/7 while on call.
• We prefer knowledge of Cisco and Palo Alto networking equipment, telecommunications technologies, and transportation network design principles and infrastructure standards.
• We prefer strong verbal and written communication skills for working with technical teams, stakeholders, partner agencies, and operational staff.
• We prefer the ability to research, assess, and compare emerging technologies, product trends, system compatibility, and industry best practices.
• We require applicants to have completed at least a high school diploma or equivalent, with higher education preferred depending on experience and fit.

• We will have you procure, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network equipment and communications infrastructure.
• We will have you plan, coordinate, and implement physical and network connectivity for field-based operational technology environments, including structured cabling and device deployment, while working with operations, maintenance, and vendor partners.
• We will have you deliver technical support for telecommunications and network systems across the Northwest Region.
• We will have you investigate and resolve issues reported within OT and ITS network environments.
• We will have you support communications infrastructure and collaborate with infrastructure teams and partners to address technical challenges and provide operational support as needed.
• We will have you travel to field sites, including ITS hubs, tunnels, and other facilities, to help maintain and repair network and telecommunications systems.
• We will have you transport the tools and equipment needed to complete troubleshooting and repair work.
• We will have you support inventory control for maintenance and traffic divisions, including tracking, upkeep, and lifecycle management of assets.
