 This contract position is on-site, providing an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of our tiniest patients within the medical practice industry.

As a Locum Neonatologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to newborns and premature infants, collaborating closely with nursing staff and pediatricians to ensure the best outcomes. This role is critical in supporting our mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services and to uphold the standards of practice within our facility.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive neonatal care to hospitalized newborns
  • Conduct assessments and formulate treatment plans
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in rounds and provide guidance to nursing staff
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding care plans and progress
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately
  • Stay current with advancements in neonatology practices
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification in Neonatology
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Oregon
  • Experience in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) setting
  • Strong clinical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient care

Schedule: 7a-4p + overnight call

25 to 30-bed Level III NICU

Annual NICU Admissions: 500 patients

Average Daily Volume: 18.5 patients

Patient Population: 65% Level II acuity, 35% Level III acuity, <10% Level IV acuity

Focus on premature births, bread and butter

Bread & butter neonatal procedures are required

Current Team: 9 Neonatologists

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
