Job Title: Turret Punch Press Operator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Turret Punch Press Operator with experience in operating and setting up turret punch presses, as well as water jet or laser machinery. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of metal materials and the ability to read and interpret blueprints to operate presses effectively, bending and punching steel using custom dies. Quality assurance is essential, as you will be required to check parts using various checking devices and fixtures, ensuring all measurements are accurate.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up turret punch press machinery and water jet or laser equipment.
• Interpret and follow blueprints and work instructions accurately.
• Perform quality checks on parts using checking devices and fixtures.
• Read and utilize measuring devices such as tape measures and calipers.
• Ensure all tolerances are met using gauges and other measurement tools.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years experience in machine operating, specifically turret punch press, water jet, or laser.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Experience in operating machinery such as turret press, laser punch press, press brake, and surface grinder.
• Knowledge of hand tools and fabrication of sheet metal.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westminster, MD.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Westminster,MD.
