Duties and Responsibilities

The Tool Maker / CNC Programmer develops programs by writing code to produce machined parts on the CNC mills and lathes.Must have Okuma lathe experience.

• Plan machining operations by reviewing work orders, blue prints, engineering plans and drawings.
• Set up and Program CNC Lathe and Mill machining centers.
• Experienced in Conversational Programming REQUIRED.
• Maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies
• Maintain specifications by observing, drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning and facing operations, take measurements, detect malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls, sharpening and replacing work tools and quality assurance.
• Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work and perform detailed inspection of parts produced.

ATTENDANCE: Good attendance includes reporting to work on time, sticking to work schedules, being prepared to start work on time, remaining on the job during the workday to complete assigned duties and limited use of unscheduled leave.
