Job Summary

VGAGE is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Metrology Lab Technician / Inspection Clerk to support our inspection and measurement laboratory operations. This role focuses on gage inspection, documentation management, and inspection report generation , ensuring accuracy and traceability of measurement results.

This position is ideal for candidates with experience in precision measurement, gauge management, and technical documentation within a manufacturing or quality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspection and verification of gauges and measurement tools
• Maintain and manage gauge inventory, calibration records, and documentation
• Prepare and issue inspection and measurement reports
• Organize and maintain technical documents and records
• Use high-precision measurement instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Support daily operations of the metrology laboratory

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience with gage and measurement tool management
• Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments , such as:
• Length measuring machines
• Dial indicators
• Height gauges
• Understanding of gauge blocks (gauge block calibration and usage)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Prior experience in a quality, inspection, or metrology environment preferred
