The Role:

 

As our Practice Manager, you are the operational and cultural anchor of the hospital. You will work closely with our Medical Director to lead the team, support day-to-day operations, and create an environment where people feel supported, accountable, and motivated to do their best work.

This is not a role focused on maintaining the status quo. This is a role for someone who wants to lead, improve, and grow alongside the hospital.

What you'll be doing:

  • Partnering with the Medical Director to co-lead hospital operations and culture.
  • Overseeing daily operations to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment.
  • Managing financial performance including budgeting, reporting, inventory, and labor.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing team members through clear expectations and support.
  • Building strong systems around scheduling, workflows, onboarding, and accountability.
  • Supporting local marketing efforts and community outreach.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing practical, sustainable solutions.

You are...

  • You bring 3-5 years of management or leadership experience.
  • You have your CVPM - we're looking for someone who holds this certification.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree or have equivalent professional experience leading teams and operations.

  • You enjoy building strong teams, efficient systems, and a positive workplace culture.

  • You understand how leadership, operations, and financial health directly impact patient care.

  • You lead with empathy, communicate clearly, and make thoughtful, confident decisions.

  • You are organized, proactive, and comfortable problem-solving in a fast-paced setting.

  • You bring a strong commitment to continued professional development and believe great leaders never stop learning.

Bonus points if you:

  • Have experience with veterinary practice management software.

  • Have led recruiting, scheduling, onboarding, or training initiatives.

  • Bring additional operational or leadership experience that supports hospital growth.
