Walmart Global Tech is looking to hire a seasoned Senior Data Scientist for their Personalization team in Sunnyvale CA to support the Personalization and Recommendation development efforts with our eCommerce team.

About the Team:

The Personalization team consists of platform application engineers scientists and product visionaries all working together to design prototype and build technology-driven products and experiences that will change the future landscape of ecommerce. We are focused on building end-to-end customer experience from finding the product to delivering it to the customer. This will span many markets business models and form factors; therefore we are looking for data scientists who will bring not only the experiences in technologies but the curiosity and capability to innovate. What Youll Do:

• Develop state of the art techniques in Machine Learning Personalization and Recommendation systems
• Design implement and own the state-of-the-art Machine Learning approaches including deep learning reinforcement learning generative AI techniques
• Collaborate with other tech leads on top-down or bottom-up initiatives and priorities
• Develop data models and iteratively improve them based on new data insights
• Design architect and iterate on data models
• Iterate challenge and accelerate best practices in Personalization and Item Recommendations

What Youll Bring:

• Masters degree/P h. D in Data S cience Computer Science or related fields with practicalexperience
• Expertise in Machine Learning Statistics Generatlive AI Personalization and Item Recommendation algorithms
• Experiencein data science and building and evaluating large scale machine learning and deep learning models
• Experience in designing and deploying highly scalable Recommenders s ystems for e-commerce
• Curiosity in state-of-the-art techniques in recommendation related areas
• Exceptional business acumen and problem-solving skills a demonstrated ability to prototype and implement complex AI solutions
• Outstanding communication leadership and written skills
• St rong coding skills in Python or other related language
• Experience building scalable data pipelines using Spark Hive and/or SQL
• Experience designing scalable end-to-end model architectures and conduc ting ex per iment s in P yTorch /TensorFlow to solve complex predictive modeling problems

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• Personalization and recommendation development and implementation experience in an e-commerce environment strongly preferred

The annual salary range for this position is $117000.00 - $234000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1- Bachelors degree in Statistics Economics Analytics Mathematics Computer Science Information Technology or related field and 3 years experience in an analytics related field. Option 2- Masters degree in Statistics Economics Analytics Mathematics Computer Science Information Technology or related field and 1 years experience in an analytics related field. Option 3 - 5 years experience in an analytics or related field.
