Overview
Travel Surgical Technologist – Cardiac OR in Rochester, New York. Start date: May 18, 2026. 13-week assignment in a hospital setting. Weekly pay range: $1,656 to $1,794 per week. Shift: 12-hour shifts with a DEN rotation, weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage as needed. The Adult Cardiac OR handles a variety of cases including CABG and TAVI, with exposure to advanced support devices such as VADs, ECMO, artificial heart, and heart transplants.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and arrange instruments, equipment, and supplies for cardiac procedures; scrub from the sterile field and assist the surgical team
- Circulate as needed, maintain sterile technique, and facilitate rapid turnover between cases
- Safely handle sharps, perform surgical counts, and manage solutions under the direction of a registered nurse
- Support a range of cardiac cases (e.g., CABG, TAVI) and related devices (VADs, ECMO, artificial heart, transplants) as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ensure equipment readiness, assist with room setup and post-case turnover, and comply with unit policies

Requirements
- New York State Surgical Technologist license active and current
- NBSTSA Certification or 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technician
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a cardiac operating room
- Able to scrub and circulate during procedures
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to work in a cardiac OR with 12-hour shifts and a DEN rotation, including weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed
