WVRC Waukesha is seeking a Hospital Services Manager to lead the daily operations of our 24 hour E mergency service. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, developing and supporting team members, and ensuring an exceptional experience for both clients and patients.

This position is ideal for a strong, people-focused leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational oversight in a dynamic, high-acuity environment.

Our hospital was proudly the 2025 Ethos Veterinary Health President’s Award winner, which recognizes well-run hospitals within the Ethos network that have shown sustained revenue and profit growth stemming from great medicine, outstanding client service, and best-in-class resource utilization.

If you excel at leading through complexity - balancing patient flow, staffing, and real-time decision-making—while fostering a collaborative, supportive culture, you may be exactly who we are looking for!

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing emergency team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth
  • Partner closely with the Medical Director and Hospital Director to align operational and medical priorities
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and real-time resource allocation to ensure optimal patient care and team efficiency
  • Drive an exceptional client experience from intake through discharge and follow-up
  • Manage departmental operations, including workflow optimization, safety compliance, and equipment oversight
  • Participate in financial planning, budgeting, and performance tracking to meet hospital goals
  • Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and performance management of team members
  • Serve as a coach and mentor, guiding team members in professional development and non-clinical competencies
What We’re Looking For:
  • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (required)
  • Strong operational and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate effectively
  • Proven ability to lead in high-stress, fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the veterinary field (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Compensation starts at 75K/yr and is based on experience and skill set
  • VetBloom access: Race approved continuing education, training, and curriculum library.
  • Medical, dental, vision, short & long- term disability option, company paid life insurance, flex- spending account, 401(k), Employee Assistance Program, uniform & CE allowance provided annually.
If you’re looking for an opportunity to step into a leadership role where you can truly make an impact—on your team, your hospital, and the patients you serve—we’d love to connect with you.
