Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing all warehouse activities. Responsible for ensuring that warehouse activities, including Inventory Control, Safety Management, Shipping and Receiving, etc. are carried out efficiently and profitably.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Logging, tracking and documenting daily input/output of merchandise.
Processing Purchase Orders
Filing old and new Purchase Orders.
Distributing purchase orders as directed by Inventory Manager.
Processing and distributing orders in a quick and accurate manner.
Daily oversight of inventory received, shipped and distributed.
Daily prioritization and staging of orders in conjunction with Inventory Management, Store Management and Administration for warehouse processing.
Maximizing productivity with frequent evaluation of all expenses and overall financial impact of the warehouse department in relation to KHK/CO.
All packing/shipping for the company including, but not limited to, mail order, kite-surfing, hang gliding, and retail. This includes monitoring shipping expenses and supplies.
Weekly distribution of store supplies as requested by the supply designee, Inventory Manager, Store Manager(s) and administration.
Task/Duty (workload) assignment for the delivery driver(s) to ensure distribution efficacy.
Return to Vendor (RTV) merchandise management, with appropriate documentation and communication with vendors and Inventory Manager.
Fixture/display management, to allow for appropriate storage, loading, unloading, inventory and disposal of fixturing resources.
All Total Quality Management (TQM) functions associated with the warehouse, including 1) documenting damaged deliveries, 2) shipping/distributing efficacy as related to accuracy required for store merchandise placement.
Leading by example and communicating policies and procedures to subordinate warehouse staff to maximize productivity.
Maintaining cleanliness within the department including work areas, designated walkways, storage areas, supply areas, pallets, boxes, trash, RTV, and items returned to the warehouse.
Directing staff and ensuring productivity standards are upheld on a daily basis by employees.
Payroll preparation and budget planning.
Training for all warehouse staff on duties, responsibilities, safety, equipment use, KHK policies and procedures, and performance standards and expectations.
Ensuring the safety of all employees, visitors and guests in the warehouse by maintaining all safety standards consistently upheld in a warehouse environment.
All other duties as required.
Education, & Experience
1 to 3 years required, 5 years preferred of supervision in warehouse environment.
1 to 3 years preferred, with inventory control and cycle counting.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Forklift Certification (a plus, but will train)
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Advanced in Excel

Working Conditions
The daily work environment is a non-temperature-controlled warehouse. It can be very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. The noise level is moderate to loud.
Required to work more than 40 hours a week and on weekends during the company’s in-season time period.
May be requested to drive company vehicle to other locations.
Physical Requirements
Over 3/4 of your time will be spent standing, walking, using hands, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, talking and hearing. On a regular basis you can expect to lift up to 50 lbs., less frequently expect to lift up to 100 lbs.(in these cases we ask you to use carts and dollies or the buddy system). Good vision is necessary with particular emphasis on close and color vision. To summarize you will need to be able to read fine print and small and/or hand-written font. You will need to be able to separate items by color and check things in by color. Standing on concrete floors all day and lifting frequently are all essential job responsibilities. Forklift driving with loading, unloading, picking and pulling skills requiring manual dexterity (foot and hand) and control.
