Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate team members to build a high-performing workforce.
  • Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits and meetings.
  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and logistics teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Position Requirements

  • 5+ years in Steel Operations background.
  • 3+ years’ experience in fast-paced production operations and management, order fulfillment, and inventory management.
  • 1+ years’ experience as a leader/manager.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse, inventory, and shipping operations methods and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in both English and Spanish is preferable.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Inventory (SAP) software.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to problem solve, multitask, prioritize, and delegate.
  • Strict attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Responsible, ethical, honest, positive, upbeat, and approachable.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
  • Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement training
